Kyle McDowell, owner of McDowell South RV and lifelong resident of Jackson, Missouri, is continuing a family legacy started by his great-grandfather, who opened the first car dealership in Jackson in 1914. Ronald, Kyle's father, started his automotive career in the late 1960's as a wholesaler handling approximately 2000 vehicles annually. In 1992 Ronald purchased his own Ford dealership in Perryville, Missouri and in 1997, Ronald and Kyle expanded and built McDowell South in Jackson specializing in late model, low mileage pre-owned vehicles with an emphasis on heavy duty trucks.
An avid outdoorsman, Kyle wanted to offer the public something more and in 2006 made the move to the rv business. This transition was sparked by his passion for the outdoors and a desire to expand into a new enterprise and offer "outdoor enjoyment" to as many families as possible.
